Celebrating Dr. Christine Bastl during Women's History Month. Dr. Bastl is a mother, grandmother, sister, friend, women’s advocate, mentor, professor emeritus and practicing physician specializing in kidney disease at Temple University Hospital.
She was the first woman named Section Chief at Temple where she was Chief of Nephrology. She is a board certified nephrologist and as well in internal medicine.
Dr. Bastl has been practicing medicine and healing patients for over 50 years. She has spent several decades leading research in many areas related to kidney disease and has won numerous grants and awards for her work.
Some of her honors include Established Investigator of the American Heart Association and National Institute of Health Research committee Member
In her 79 years on this planet Dr. Bastl has lead a life of service and love for her family and for humanity.
